How do you photograph weddings?
My approach is documentary at heart, with thoughtful direction whenever you need it. I focus on the honest interactions, subtle details and unscripted moments that make your wedding feel like your own. When it’s time for portraits, I’ll guide you naturally so you never feel stiff or unsure.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I’m based in Sydney, Nova Scotia, and photograph weddings throughout Cape Breton and beyond. Standard travel throughout Cape Breton is included in my wedding collections. Weddings requiring overnight accommodation or travel outside Cape Breton will receive a customized travel quote before booking.
How many pictures will we receive?
Every wedding unfolds differently, so I don’t limit your gallery to a fixed number of photographs. Most couples receive approximately 600–1,000+ fully edited images, depending on their collection and the pace of the day. Every meaningful photograph that contributes to your story is included. The result is a complete, thoughtfully curated gallery.
When will we get our photos?
You’ll receive a curated collection of sneak peeks within 72 hours so you can relive and share a few favourite moments right away. Your complete wedding gallery will be thoughtfully edited and delivered within eight weeks.
Is a second photographer included?
A professional second photographer is included with The Journey and The Promise. This allows us to document both partners getting ready, capture multiple perspectives during your ceremony and preserve more of the candid moments happening throughout the day. The Story is photographed exclusively by me and is designed for more focused wedding-day coverage.
Do you include an engagement session?
Engagement sessions are included with The Journey and The Promise and may be added to The Story. Beyond creating beautiful photographs, the session gives us an opportunity to become comfortable working together before your wedding. By the time the day arrives, being in front of my camera will feel much more natural.
Do you also offer wedding films?
Yes. I offer wedding photography and wedding filmmaking as two separate services, allowing me to give my complete creative attention to whichever one you choose. I don’t offer combined photo-and-film packages, but I’m always happy to recommend a trusted professional to complete the other half of your team.
How do we reserve our wedding date?
Your date is officially reserved once your agreement has been signed and the initial 30% retainer has been paid. The remaining balance can be divided into manageable instalments, with the final payment due 30 days before your wedding. Because I accept a limited number of weddings each year, I recommend reaching out once your date and venue are confirmed.
